E30 M3 or E34 M5 WANTED!!!!

I noticed you're in Portland OR -- me too. I'm also looking for an e34 M5. While visiting in So cal, I test drove one -- very nice, although I can see why people call them a beast. My wife wasn't too keen on it. This particular specimen was blk/blk, '91 with 95k miles, asking 19K. Condition seemed pretty good. Seller said SLS had been removed, new tranny, water pump, radiator. Some cosmetic blemishes as you'd expect on a 13 year old car. Good price? Had a couple Dinan items as well.

My timeframe is probably longer than yours. When you get it, I'd appreciate it if you let me know how it goes.

Is it common on the e34 m5 to have a sloppy gear box? the 1-2 shift was, ummm, BAD. Is this normal and expected? I've only driven one sample, so am a complete newbie with this car.
