Sad to say but I'm parting out my 94 740iL. I petrol locked the engine a few weeks ago purely on accident and did a decent amount of internal damage to the engine. My initial plan was to just replace the engine and keep moving forward. But the car still had a long ways to go before it was solid.

I picked up an 89 525i that has 57k original miles and is in very good shape cosmwtically and almost perfect mechanically so I'm switching gears towards that.

I originally purchased the 7 because of its interior. With the exception of some cracks in the wood trim it is nearly flawless. Everything works and I have replaced the few worn items that stood out.

Vehicle specs
3/94 production code

List of Pros
All 4 window regulators are perfect
Sunroof 100% works
Door cards are flawless
Drivers seat has a few scuffs but leather is intact and soft. Armrest works perfectly
Pass seat leather is without scuffs and tears and soft. Armrest although there and clean does not ratchet thru the settings
Rear seat top and bottom are clean and leather is soft
Package tray is clean and complete
Carpet minus one small stain directly behind drivers seat against the trans hump is very clean and has no tears
Trunk carpet and sides are all there and clean
Dash has no cracks and all inserted items (airbag, speaker grills) are seated properly.
Center console is clean with no stitching tears or blemishes

Like I said I bought this car based off how awesome the interior was.
The car is Oriental Blue with Parchment interior.

Exterior not so much. Paint is faded on all top areas. Mirrors are clean and work properly
All trim is there and clean
Front bumper is clean. Has scuff on passenger side just below headlight washer that is missing cover. Has euro plate attachment and clean lenses on the fogs.

Headlights are very clean. As are the kidney grills
Door handle seals are gone but handles are clean.
Rear bumper has one small gouge in black moulding but otherwise clean.
Rocker plastics are clean and not overly faded
Lower door seals are almost non existent
Chrome moulding around doors is excellent (remember iL model)

Cluster is perfect with no pixel loss.
Radio (tape deck) works perfectly as does the general info display. All buttons show no wear in writing.

There are a thousand solid parts inside and out on this car that can help you get yours right. I'm not looking to make a fortune off this I just wanna see some of these immaculate pieces go to one of you before the shell goes to the yard.

I will be transferring the springs and wheels over to the 5 but other that that it's fair game. The car needs to be mildly mobile when done so a wrecker can grab it.

I can take pics upon request. But heres a shot of the inside

How is the condition of the driver's door chrome trim at the base of the window on the outside of the car? I'm specifically interested in the rubber/aluminum/felt window seal piece inside the chrome trim if it's not cracked, dry rotted, or damaged:

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-bmw-parts/front-door-window-weather-strip-left-no-longer-available/51211928259/

It's way easier to remove that chrome trim piece without removing the window seal from inside it, so I'd want to buy the chrome trim and window seal as a whole part if you're willing to make the effort to carefully pry it off (it is kind off a pain in the ass to remove from the door edge). You would need to remove the side door mirror to get it off the door.

I have an order - can I have the driver side inside headlight? I haven't disassembled mine yet, but mine has a rock chip. I only need the glass, so whatever the minimum is to replace the glass is what I need.

Also, I need both halves of the driver side brake duct. If your front bumper is good, hopefully that means the brake ducts are still present?

You need new ones - there's zero chance they'll be good on a car this old. Even just shipping cost would be a waste of money. You can buy some new ones from Shogun or find them online (Amazon, eBay, wherever).
