widest tire that can be mounted on stock e36 18"

widest tire size? without killing rubbing on 18"?

currently running default 225's but wondering if I could mount 245'...

I have 225/40 all around and I'm rubbing but I think you can go with 245/35 if the wheels are the right offset.

thanks :) at the moment it rubs only in the back when I turn, and apparently its not the fender but more liek the part where there would be splash guard, dont know how to explain its like the tire hit the inside of the car, shop say they could cut that part but it would probably affet the integrity oif the body as well as thebuper attachment...

No rubbing on these, but I have rolled my fenders pretty agressively.

They are 245/35-18 Hoosiers on 18x9 SSR Comps. They actually measure out at about 255-265 wide.
