Just bought this 2010 335i. Was cruising on the highway, and did a little pull, then got the "engine malfunction, reduced power" warning. Got the half CEL. However i checked for codes and nothing came up. If i shut it off the warning goes away but come back after 3k rpms. And the car is getting no boost, as its in limp mode. What would cause this if there are no codes. Please help, I've only had the car for a day.

There are codes. What kind of scanner are you using?
When you use a proper BMW-capable scanner, you'll probably pull a 30FF underboost code. Assuming that's the case:
1. Vacuum test all boost control hoses
2. Smoke test
3. Check boost control solenoids
If all that checks out, you're probably looking at replacing the turbos due to sticky wastegates. That's a big expensive job and is quite likely the reason the seller unloaded the car on you.
On the bright side, if the car is getting NO boost, then you're likely looking at bad boost control hoses etc., which is no big deal at all.
If the car was boosting fine then developed this behavior suddenly, it's likely the charge pipe or another boost leak, which is also no big deal.

I used 2 very capable Bosch scanners, and nothing came up. I also did the check control through the bc menu and nothing came up. It was sudden. I bought the car and it was pulling like a beast, then it stopped all of a sudden, after getting that warning

Update. Charge pipe is cracked right at throttle body. What's the best option to keep stock diverter valves.

The VRSF charge pipe is excellent, I have two with stock DVs. Just make sure to tighten the Allen plugs; they come loose and will fall out.

Best diagnostic options:
- Free Windows ISTA download w/ K+DCAN cable - see bimmergeeks.net
- MHD Android app
- Foxwell NT510
- Launch CRP123
Any of these will show the 30FF history that your Bosch units are missing, plus a bunch of other stuff. Especially ISTA.
