View Full Version : One side Catalytic converters is missed

Hello every body , I noticed the bank 2 cat converter was taken off by the previous owner , the bank 1 is present
I want to ask if there is effect on fuel eco ? As my car very thirsty, I do every thing for that but the problem the same

Yes, one bank will have higher back-pressure and that will skew the air/fuel mixture. Adaptations might be able to compensate but it is unlikely....

https://youtu.be/CBfyCItOJH0Timm it was this info I saw in a post by you last year that was the ONLY definitive answer to my cat problem. Unplugging the primary o2 told me nothing. And laser temp gun testing was inconclusive. The adaptations though, way different on bank 1 vs 2. Thanks
