Ok, I'm about to tackle the Avant 4 installation this weekend and one of the things that I want to do is install two USB ports so I can use Android Auto or play media from a memory stick. I've been trying to find a location that doesn't look out of place but so far nothing. The only thing that I thought of do far is mounting it inside one of the "wells" of the ash tray so at least when disconnected and closed you won't see them.
So far when I searched I only found one that was installed in the driver's knee panel area but that won't work. I'm planning on installing a wireless charging pad under the flat spot by the OBD port/cup holder to drop the phone there while is connected via USB to Android Auto (I believe the Avant 4 unit only provides the minimal voltage for charging and our phones now discharge it faster than the minimum USB requirement can provide).
If you have, please share what you've done!

I ended up pulling the USB wires under the console to the center section of the armrest. I stashed the Android Auto/Car Play dongle between the console and the AC duct that sits under the console. I had bought a dual USB panel mount extension and I'll be mounting it on the back area of the center tray so all that you'll see are the two USB openings and the two screws holding it to the tray. I had to cut a portion of a plastic bar in this area to clear the plug (similar to this): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C8C2JN2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

I was looking at that one some time back but now I need them to be connected to the radio as they are the Android Auto connection and the other I want to use to connect a USB stick with music (the unit has an SD card slot that could be used for this too!). I'll post a pick once I finalize the install of the USB connector.
