I never thought I'd be making this post but I will be selling my e24. Lately I just haven't had too many opportunities to take the car out and hate seeing it sit. I'd like to see it go to a fellow enthusiast who will have the time to give it the care it deserves.
This was my first car which I bought from the second owner in Louisville Kentucky. This car was a European delivery optioned car by the first owner who went to Germany and got to drive the car around before being shipped back. This car has been heavily maintained and taken care of mechanically but has a few cosmetic things that could easily be addressed.
This is a 1 of 61 cars sold in 1989 with a factory 5 speed manual transmission. These cars came standard with a m30b35 and a 3.64 limited slip differential along with other differences.
Here is a list of some of the things done to the car:
New front sub frame
o New Bilstein sport dampers (on front)
o Rear dampers replaced by previous owner (I forget the brand but are rather nice)
o Bavarian Autosport lowering springs
o All bushings have been replaced
o Rear half shafts (axels) have been replaced
o Drive shaft center bearing and guibo have been replaced
o New Sachs stock clutch with than 2,000 miles on it
o UUC short shifter--- the DSSR I have is incorrect (for e30 M3) so stock DSSR is on the car
o Crank position sensor has been replaced
o Water temp and other sensors on engine have been replaced
o Spark plugs have been changed to factory spec
o Trans and diff fluid have been changed. Redline fluid
o Fog lights have been replaced with used ones
o The gas tank seems to be in great shape
o Nice black powder coated valve cover with silver lettering - (thanks Ron)
- trans seals have been replace
o There is probably more that I can’t think of
The car is currently sitting on concave style 32s
Included in the sale will also be the factory exhaust and a stainless steel Billy Boat cat back exhaust. Also included with be any parts I have laying around (spare rear main seal, tail lights, blower motor etc)
