Like the tittle states, the old BMW's didn't "really seem to perform well" with platinum plugs... (maybe just my impression but the good old Bosh Supers ran great).
I recently replaced the factory NGK's with a set of Bosh platinum, and as the "old days went" the car is a bit lethargic compared to the factory NGK's it had.
Now it's not about the $75.00 to $90.00 for a set, replacing plugs at 30 to 35k miles is not really a big deal to me and if the car performs "better" I would not mind at all.

I only find minimal repacement units mainly Champion, Denso or Autolites...
At $2.50 e/a any drawbacks?

Any other opinions, drawbacks with the coils?
Straight copper even though softer should have less resistance.

Please be kind, this is my first E90 last unit was an E28, E30, E21's I know it's been awhile.

I would recommend installing the correct plug as recommended by BMW

I actually went with regular plugs I believe they were Bosch. (done at 85K now at 131k) but prior to my valve cover and CPS issues car ran very well.
