Sell 545i and buy 330e?

Hello,

Since I'm having a new job next year and planning on traveling 20k kilometers in one year I'm about to sell my 545i '04 and buy a 330e.
Given the fact the mileage of my 545i is high (330k km) and needing repairs for estimated $800,- I doubt it's worth keeping it. Also with future repairs to be made (valve stem seals?). I have already replaced the coolant pipe.
On the other hand, I dont have a driveway at home but a parking space on the street at a little distance, so charging the 330e might be a problem?

What would you do? Keep 545i and do the repairs, hoping it will last or buy a 330e and tune it? Or better go for a 328, 330 or 335i?

Those are two very different cars.

And I would absolutely NOT tune a hybrid in any shape or fashion. That's asking for trouble, and an instantly voided warranty, if the vehicle you purchase has warranty. If you want something to tune and play with, don't buy a hybrid.

Thanks for the response. I think I'll be keeping my 545i and maybe later buy another car. Any suggestions?

Depends on what you're looking for. Something fun, fast, sporty, and responds well to tuning? Then maybe a 335 would be a good choice.
