I have a 1994 325 IC that the seat rails on the drivers side are stuck I finally got them out by drilling a hole through the top rail to get to the rear bolt and got the door side rail out. But after soaking it and pounding it wont loosen up Does anyone have info on where to get these rails other than BMW or can another year fit ? This is the electric sport seat but the rail is all I need. Any help is appreciated.

What I did. I pulled the motor by doing very tight cramped and uncomfortable work pulling the seat motors out. Then i could twist the bendex rod. On the end of the motor powered with a 12v drill battery on one side a bit at a time until i could get to the bolts.
But yesb any yr e36 has the same rails i believe. But i dont know how replaceable they are.

I have searched many sites and only come up with $370 and up for a set of tracks. I hoping someone has some used ones for sale. My drivers outer side rail is just plain stuck I have heated it, beat on it, soaked it with BP Blaster and it still will not move. Frustrated. Thanks for the reply Spydergod.

Seats with ripped up covers are really cheap if you just need the mechanical parts. Aside from the coupe/vert seats that tilt forward, much of the parts are interchangeable. I have a set of ripped up vert seats but I'm too far of a drive from you. Check craigslist or a junk yard and you should be able to get the parts you need for $50 or less.
