I’ve tried reading as many existing threads as I can before I’ve posted this, but haven’t found anything that really covers what I have going on. Currently: Rough idle while parked or stopped holding the brake. Coasting idle seems fine, and runs perfectly smooth while driving it, though might be slightly hesitant (Wouldn't know, I've only driven it maybe once or twice when running "as it should" so I'm not familiar with how strong it should be down-low) when on the throttle.

2006 325i Auto.

Got this car about a year ago, and a week later it all went down the tubes. It would die out completely when idling for the longest time. In chasing the issue I’ve replaced the knock sensor and bolt (was hanging off, someone previously snapped the bolt when installing and didn’t fix it) MAP sensor, all plugs (had the wrong plugs in it, way too short) 3/6 coil packs, and most recently the fuel filter, which made the biggest difference and would only want to die out on initial start-up, and still have an intermittent rough idle.

Got some miscellaneous misfire codes and P1415. Checked the oil cap and cleaned the MAF, also tightened up an intake boot that was apparently left loose. Put some fresh fuel in and drove it a bit, still with a rough (improved over initial post-filter driving) idle, and stopped wanting to die out on start-up. Scanned it when I got home (generic scanner) and got the following codes:

P0174
P0171
P1415
P0174
P0171
P1105

Cleared the codes and fired it up, idled it for a minute or so and they didn’t immediately come back.

My best guess with that combination of codes at this point is a vacuum/intake leak of some sort. There’s a chance when installing the crankcase vent hose it got cracked, but haven’t pulled it all back apart to check that yet - if so, would that be a culprit of a vacuum leak that would throw that combination of codes and cause the intermittent rough idle?

Following up, for what it may be worth to anyone:

Replaced the crankcase vent hose and seemed to fix it to about 95%... rare occasional stumble, though I only drove it once for a few minutes after this. Scanned it and got the P1415 code, but that may have been in there from before. Tomorrow... technically today... I'll be taking it in for the recall work, and the dealer is a decent drive from me. Have to see how it does then.
