Hello all. First post. I searched and couldn't find any threads or posts similar so I hope you're kind. :help
TL;DR - 16117163295, is that the fuel pressure regulator AND the fuel filter?
I have a 2011 BMW 335i xDrive that's a left hand drive, sedan, LCI with the n55 motor that's a 6 speed standard. Currently at 98k miles.
I have a 5in intercooler, charge pipe, brand new cold air intake, brand new coils, brand new spark plugs, and a brand new downpipe, new clutch that has about 1k miles on it, new high pressure fuel pump with about 1.5k miles on it.
Long story about my situation:
I tried to go Stage 1 - 2+ with MHD but the graphs are showing my car is throwing misfires because there's not enough fuel pressure when I hit that 70mph-85mph mark in gears 3 or 4. I had the graphs sent to MHD and that's what they got back to me with. Bad fuel pressure can be related to fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter, wouldn't you agree? Got any other parts you can think of?
I can do 150mph when it was stock and there was absolutely no hiccups or jitters or signs of anything wrong. I flash Stage 1 and boom, missfires occur, SES light comes on, car goes into limp mode when I go near 70-85mph in 3rd or 4th gear where acceleration pedal is about 60% down. I shut off my car, turn it back on after a few seconds and car is fresh again, no SES light or limp mode up until I hit that 70mph-85mph mark again. I can drive it around normally for days on end with nothing bad happening or codes being thrown. If I flash it back to stock the car is just dandy and fine too, but I can hit 100mph, easy, nothing wrong in any gear with pedal to the metal.
That's been my headache for about a week now. So I was like cool, car is getting up to the point in mileage of replacing parts to prolong it's life and prevent anything that wouldn't allow this to be my daily. I ordered the 16117163295, and on REALoem and other sites it keeps saying this is the fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel leveling sensor as well as the fuel pressure regulator. And when I try to search for fuel filter, nothing on this car comes up. On other models of the 3's, and even the 335d, there is a fuel filter that is right under the car on the passenger side with the fuel lines attached to it. that's what I'm used to seeing! Parts such as MAH-KL149 from Mahle, or the MAN-WK533 from Mann for other models.
16117163295 is the part I have in hand. Is that the fuel pressure regulator AND the fuel filter? I don't have accessibility to look under my car for the "normal" looking fuel filter that I thought my car would have, so I am asking around here just to be ready, or to order what I need when I do have access.
Thanks for reading or trying to help! I appreciate all effort, even if it is to point me to a video or to a thread that I overlooked that will make me look dumb.
