My tires are almost worn down. I found out that tires have speed ratings and i found out mine were for about 90-95mph. I hit about 135mph with my car before and nothing really happened. My average speed on the freeway is about 105-110. I want to buy new tires and I am willing to spend $400 at most. I also need my tires to be a good "rating" because i need it to perform (I dont know if there really is a difference about the ratings of tires). If anyone knows about ratings of tires and can help me find some tires for my car id appreciate it thank you. :round

What kind of tires were you using that are only rated for 90-95? Thats not even H-Rated! Didn't know they made tires that low of a rating for bmw. Bare MINIMUM I would go with for your car is H-Rated tires. 400 bucks a set? Go with something like Kumho 712's or the comparable.
Hope that helps.

I would recommend you get at least a W or Y rated tire....speeds good for up to 150 to 170 mph. I currently have Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires and absolutely love them but they are way out of your established budget. I also owned Yokohama AVS Sport tires and loved the grip of those too....plus they were a lot cheaper. Tire Rack I found has the best prices almost anywhere and very professional and knowledgeable staff. If you have a Discount Tire in your area, they are not bad either.

My company sells Toyo tires. http://frisbyracetire.com/toyo_front_page.htm
I'd look at the Proxes 4 for what you are look for price wise.
Probably not going to be able to meet the$400 dollar range though. Might get close.
Let me know if I can help.

pretty sure Kumho 712s are rated for those speeds and will be well within your budget.
