BavSound makes a E39 kit and from what I have heard, it's really nice. Their stuff is not cheap though.

very true and I bought the Bavsound level I kit.. switching out front and rear speakers are a pita. and to be honest, no noticeable change or improvement.

an amp needs to be first mod but not from Bavsound as they want almost $1000 for theirs.
