So after reading a lot of posts and research,I decided to give my ccv breather and filter a change out to my suprise when I done this on my 2008 530d e60 there was no filter vortex or toilet roll present.
I assuming this was because this model had the dpf , what I really wanted to know was it seemed as though the vortex would fit ?? Are all the crank cases the same , for example where the filter fits,I left the vortex out again because I wasnÂ’t sure about vent holes being the same ?? Does anyone have any pictures clearly showing where there vortex would sit please help IÂ’m looking everywhere online .
as my dpf was removed and mapped by the previous owner IÂ’m presuming the vortex would help the smoke on start issue??
Please help guys I had 40 views but no comments on my last post ??

Real OEM will show you the location of the ccv. So will new TIS. Deleting the ccv, modifying, and or not servicing it could make for smoke on startup. I say could, because I have no clue what is going on under your hood.

The second red square is not where it goes, it's a bug. It is bolted to the cylinder head cover.
