Hi all, can anyone help me identify a MAF/AFM I have. This was purchased new a long time ago, but memory is now fading, so I cannot remember which model this is for. The unit was a Federal Mogul/Carter Fuel systems part, with the following part numbers on the box; 349-004, also 27093. I have checked out both Federal and Carters web sites, but no indication as to which model this is for. It is identical to a unit fitted to a 535i/735i, however, the connector plug on this unit has seven pins, where the original has only 4,(i think). Any ideas?

7-pin AFMs were used on older l-jet systems. They had a fuel pump cutoff switch built in. Got a pic?

Any way you can pop the cover? Here's a pic I had taken of a 7-pin L-Jetronic afm,

If it is for L-Jet I don't think it will work on later Motronic cars.
