Hi,

Is it possible to replace protective moulding at the bottom of the doors with a used set or would these get deformed and/or damaged if you even try to pull them from a parts car?

My driver side door could use a nice clean one, but not sure I want to pay dealer cost for it.

You can pull them on and off. I've done so twice since I had a missing clip and they clip back on easily.

The part number you gave is for the one about one-third of the way up the door, the bump protector as I call it.

If you mean the rubber strip at the bottom of the door, yes, you can reuse them. They can curl up when removed if they have been on the car a while, if so just hit them with a heat gun before installation. Watch for latent rust underneath.

If you want, I have a full set of those, all 4 doors almost new (put them on and realised I needed Mtech ones) for $80 shipped.

Good catch ! I was looking at the wrong ones on realoem, I need the one that’s on the bottom of the door and looks like they are cheap new ! Don’t want to deal with having to straighten a used one so I’ll just get one from a dealer this time . Thanks !
