On my home today, the car made an awful vibration sound, like something seized. When I got home 2 miles later, the sound wasn’t as awful, but still bad. I attached a video. It seems to be coming from around the alternator.
Thanks!

Video doesn’t capture sound that well. I’m 99% sure it’s the alternator after viewing some YouTube videos.

Take the belts off and spin all the pulleys by hand.
Your video wouldn't play without a password.

Yeah that link wants me to "add video to my library" um no.
But sounds like you prob have it right - the alt seizure sound can be terrible, sounds like the engine is eating itself. It also can come or go once or twice before it goes into full permanent seizure. But don't run the engine that way, if it really fully seizes it can eat up the serp belt and throw it around the engine bay and that can take out other stuff not to mention losing water pump drive. Don't try and drive it unless you like gambling with all risk and no payoff.

Sorry about the link. It “worked for me” but I’m logged in I guess. Geargrinder, your description is spot on. It’s parked in the driveway till it’s fixed.

Alternator definitely f***ed. Removed it today and it feels like gravel inside it when you turn it. Was a much easier job to get to than I figured it would be. Again, thanks everyone.
