Rear interior lights

Can't find anyone with my specific issue. Unlocking doors turns on front center lights and door lamps but the rear reading lights dont turn on. The lights work if i manually turn them on but not when unlocking with the remote or even opening the rear doors. Any suggestions? Are these lights not supposed to turn on with front dome lights? the rear reading lights and the "saloon" lights in the c pillar are two different things. rear reading lights are the small round ones, operable with the switch next to them. rearwards from these lights are the lights that come on with the rest of the interior lights, larger and not manually operable. have you checked the bulbs?
