I was texting with Skwissgaar earlier today. He's in New Bern, NC. Lots of flooding there.
I'm sure some of you will remember him, especially the ones that got into a pissing contest with him. (no derogatory comments needed).
He said to say hi to all you E39'ers and to come visit the OT forum where he's a Mod.

So far so good on the inland path for N.C. Lots of rain and moderate wind. Late afternoon through Sunday and Mon am are supposed to be the heaviest rain and potential for localized flooding on the western side of the state. My brothers place (near Wilmington) was close to where the eye landed. Won’t know the extent of damage until they can get back down there.

My son is in the Air Force but is stationed at New River MCAS and lives at Camp Lejeune. He and one of the other MSG's took there charges to Warner Robbins to wait out the storm. He will be transferring back to Cannon AFB in November.

Our son lives in Cary, just west of Raleigh, said it wasn't bad there. Not a lot of wind, but it has been raining there a lot today. No flooding yet.

Hopefully it's not gonna get too bad. SC decided to let their inmates in the evacuation zone rot. Freaking barbaric.

Here in Irmo SC almost dead center on the hurricanes trajectory we have seen only a slight breeze and light rain. This hurricane should be ashamed of itself. Mother nature’s worst and weakest effort at her ever continuous attempts to kill us all. Thanks for checking.

In No VA nothing but a few clouds. Need a little rain today as I seeded, fertilized, and got everything ready for fall in the yard.

It's raining a lot in Charlotte, NC right now. Perfect time to do some donuts...but still, the touring with the fat staggered wheels is too damn heavy to really break the back loose. Was able to get into a slight drift, but mainly just lots of oversteer.

SKIDPAD TIME!

Yeah BTW, its not the heavy or staggered at all. Its the one-legger diff thats a problem. Believe me you get yerself an LSD in that pup and it'll come right around.

BTW if you're really in NC you might change your profile.. it is helpful to have peoples real locale correct here when offering options for local help and whatnot.

It’s totally doable, you just have to try a bit harder. I’ve done donuts and burnouts on dry asphalt with the stock diff and 275’s in the rear.
