Security and power windows not working

Hello everyone I have a question for the community, I'm sure this has happened already but couldn't find the thread. I have a 2002 525i and my drivers side door does not lock or unlock using the key fobe, the door can be opened with the key, also the four windows can't be operated from the drivers side controls. The other windows work just fine. Also, the other doors lock/unlock using the fobe. I'm not mechanical savvy, so could it be or should I ask how much am I looking at. Any advice is welcome. Oh

Sounds like your drivers side door lock actuator is on the way out. Also, the power window switch may be bad.
