A/C Condenser leak??

After driving I heard sizzling/popping coming from the engine bay and it sounded like it was coming from the A/C compressor. I also heard a hissing sound it sounded like gas escaping from somewhere. What could be causing this leak and should I be concerned?

Does the AC work? Does the car overheat? Do the brakes work? Any other maladies to report?
