Jacking up your vechicle

Hey guys, so I purchased a hydraulic jack (Silver 2.5T) finally! But an issue I have is how do I raise the front of the vechicle onto jack stands? I am familiar with special lift point at the front under the motor, but I can't fit my jack under the car even when jack itself is lowered, I can push it in by force but then I don't have room to pump it :/

You kinda need 2 jacks. Use the OEM at one of the front jack pads to get the car high enough for your hydraulic jack to fit. You can also run it up on ramps and then use the h-jack.

1. (Recommended) Return the jack and get a low profile floor jack. I use this one: https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/80077/10002/-1
2. Drive it up onto ramps or boards to get the clearance you need to use the jack you have.
3. Front only, jack from the side jack point and slide a jack stand under the brace that has the front center jack point and repeat for the other side.

The two-jack method works for me. I have a pair of Hein-Warners.

If I'm only jacking the front, I drive up on a small board under one front wheel, then slide jack in under the center jack spot. If I'm lifting the whole car, I jack the back first from the diff, then place jack stands under the rear rocker jacking pads. Then I jack the front via the center jack spot and then place the front jack stands.

"is one board enough"... I can slide my jack under the front bumper, but there's not enough "swing" room for my jack handle to start engaging. I imagine a different jack might engage with less swing. Sort of like how some socket wrenches "click" in 10* or others in 6* (for example). In my case, one 2x4 under each front wheel is enough. Whether that's enough for you, or not... don't know. Only way to know is get off the 'puker and go try it out. :)

Thats right, I can barely slide it but the room to pump it is not enough
