I JUST bought tires two months ago, and today I was looking at prices for a friend and see they've started selling the PS4S in pretty much every size they were selling the PSS in.

Here's a handy chart I found for reference.

Basically there is a 245/40/17, and that's it for 17s. But I've had great tread life with them, and they're pretty sticky for lasting (with warranty) 30k.

Just wanted to give you all a heads up...

They're $202/tire on tirerack, so not exactly cheap. PSS are $175/tire. They are great street tires though. I find it funny that many of the popular 200TW street/track tires are significantly cheaper at around $150-160/tire.

I did find a place selling them for less than I paid (I bought mine on that Discount Tire sale day when they gave you $100 off) for my PSSs. $154 is pretty good.

Hi,
Any clearance issues? I'm also shopping for tires and not much left in stock size so looking at the 245/40/17s. Car is a 95M3, H&R OEM Sport Springs, Konis, Stock Brakes, 17x8 ET 40 OZ wheels, square set-up. I have no desire to roll the fenders.. It's basically street use with an autocross or two thrown in.

Costco also has decent price if you're a member. $185/ea. installed.
Thanks in advance!

You should be fine. The dimensions look basically the same as the PSS. It's an ordinary 245/40-17 street tire which fits on wheels up to 17x9 on the E36 with no fender work, just the possibility of small spacers in front in some cases.
