How bad is the engine? We talking major machine work? Or can it be rebuilt? Also, the transmission work?

That engine and tranny from that one are gone. I have an excellent engine with 100k miles on it from an 89 535i. Engine purrs like new. Still in the car. Tranny is bad in that one. Where are you located. I can sell you the whole car minus the few things I already pulled off of it.

New Mexico. Little further away than is feasible for a junkyard car to be transferred. And really I was looking for a junk motor to rebuild and a spare transmission. How much you looking to get for the transmission?

To pull and ship a non functioning transmission would be way to expensive.

EDIT: sorry just saw I had posted on another one of your posts. If you still have it, can you please take a photo of the fender? Just want to make sure the color is ok, it looked very odd in the photo, even in the sun, my car does not look that way. Price is fine.

I can't go that low. It is a 3.91. The lowest price in ebay is $535 shipped. I would definitely cut you a deal--but $380 shipped is as good as I can do. That's a $150 discount.
