hey guys, I have myself a 1994 318is that has an almost complete engine swap in it, which I will be hoping to produce around 400hp and about 600ft lbs of torque. I was wondering what do I need to swap in order to make an m3 diff fit? I know I need shafts and hubs and a custom driveshaft, but would the trailing arms, control arms etc from an m3 bolt on to the 318is subframe? thanks in advance.

318, 328, and M3 sub-frames are all the same.
Yes an E36 M3 Rear Sub-frame with suspension arms and spindles will bolt right in. The benefit of a complete rear assembly is the M3 Rear Trailing Arms and the larger rear wheel bearings and M3 brake bracket mounts, larger axles that only fit the larger differential output flanges.
You should purchase and install an E36 ed-in rear sub-frame body re-inforcement kit that includes RTA Bracket reinforcements.

Or keep your rear assembly and use the smaller differential output flanges with the M3 differential.
