Seriously... if I wanted to spend $200 for shift knob wouldn’t be posting here :)

If you want one in perfect condition you may very well have to spring for a new one. Most used ones will have the typical cracks and fading. I'll add that the seller is one of the best BMW OE parts suppliers on ebay. He does not sell aftermarket knock offs.

Guys, I know how to Google :) It's not about this. I know I can get one for $150. But it doesn't cost me anything to post ad here especially that I'm not in a hurry. There is always somebody who has them laying around. Me personally if I had new one I didn't need - I would let it go for $100-120. Never know what people have so it doesn't hurt to ask..
