Hello to all 328d owners,

Please share your experience about any TUNE & Aftermarket DELETE down-pipe completed to your vehicle. As well as the service completed at a "shop" or at "home"? Any insight "after the fact" upon completion to your component and Tune? And finally your overall experience and satisfaction?

Thanks to all,

Eric

I can recommend a tuner that knows these engines really well, no delete necessary.

I am listening. I found a few online via the google but none of them stood out to me. I am familiar with Malone Tuning, a lot of the VW diesel guys go to them.

Without starting tuner wars, Malone's tunes for this BMW have been mediocre at best. I've disassembled their tunes and a few others' for BMW, including the other above-mentioned as well.

Check out KermaTDI's tune for the 328d if you want a very refined and thoroughly tested tune on an actual car driven by a couple of BMW enthusiasts. There are major changes to all the driving modes, actually improved boost and throttle response, documented mpg gains, and a lot of fine tuning over the course of a year and 25,000 miles.
I don't work for them, nor have financial involvement at all, but I was a big part of the tune making process. Why? Because it's a ton of fun, and other tunes just didn't cut it for me.

that's what I am looking for! My wife daily drives this car and loves it for the MPG but she is getting the mod bug after going to some car events with me in my RX-7.

That seems like a great deal for the tune and it comes with the programmer. My wifes car has a CEL for something emissions related. I wonder if it will cause that code to stop coming back after I clear it.

P24AE is the code

P24AE is the code

I will look at the code later today when I'm at my laptop.

Most of the emissions stuff is covered by extended warranties, so I would check those out first.
How many miles?
PM me and I can give you a lot more details.

its out of warranty now being its a 2014 and we got it CPO in 2017. It just hit 70k (wife drives about 20-25k a year)

No no, there is extension of warranty on particulate sensors, nox sensors, etc. Nothing to do with the normal vehicle warranty.
Also egr system.

P24AE translates to BMW manufacturer code 2B9F00, 2BB400, and 2BB500.
They are all for a faulty diesel particulate matter sensor failure.
The particulate matter sensor is covered by extended warranty.

Take it to the dealer and they will replace it under warranty.

Also put your vin in www.bmw-rp.com to see what other components are extended.

An independent dyno on a dudmd tune on 328d with everything deleted made +35whp and +62.5wtq, FYI.

Has anybody heard of the TDI tuning boxes based out of the UK, are they any good? Their website claims a 58 HP and 62 TQ gain from their product. Claims to be more safe than ECU tunes all while their price is much cheaper than most tunes at $400. Only owned my ‘15 328d for 8 months now and am looking for a good power and MPG gain. Im between the DUDMD tune and the TDI tuning box, but there’s also a fairly hefty price difference between the two. Was hoping somebody could shed a little light on what’s been proven to be true to the numbers gain wise and more reliable in the long run, would appreciate any responses, thanks.
