I noticed a tapping sound coming from the left dash today after the car was warmed up. It wasn't there when I went back and restarted it 4 hours later, so I suspect it only comes at running temps. It's a tap-tap sound every second or so, the first and second tap sounds being slightly different, and it sounds like a solenoid or something being activated. It's most prominent on the left side of the dash closest to the door. You might need headphones or to turn your computer speakers up to hear it.

Any ideas?

I can’t watch the video at the moment but does it disappear when you turn the heating all the way hot or all the way cold?

This is nothing ordinary I’ve been told. The sound comes from a valve that closes and opens for the heater box (not sure if this is technical term)

I do, however, would love to get rid of it ;)

Blend door actuator, splines in/on the motor are slipping. Just need to identify whether it's a main or mode.

Could you give me a little more detail? I've searched for blend door actuator and some parts come up, but I haven't found a DIY.
