Hello everyone, looked on the forums but could not find an answer for my problem. So here it is :

Just finished doing the valve cover gasket on my 2008 323i (canadian version) and the car is impossible to start (could not get it to start since I did the VCG)

What I know for now :
The starter motor works / turns
Injectors are working fine, the plugs get fouled when I crank for too long
Battery is low (charged it and had the same problem)
No change if I unplug the VVT motor / harness thingy
No oil in the round connector on top of the valve cover
I have a crank and both cam signals on computer (verified with an oscilloscope)
Coils get voltage (14v), but never get any fire signal from DME

Here is a list of all the codes I could get a hand on in INPA (I have NO CEL on:
2F9E Thermic oil lever sensor (I suppose it was due to the valve cover leaking, I had to add oil once in a while, when the car told me so)
2A1A Tank ventilation system (probably the fuel cap that was not clicked)
29D0 Missfire on cylinder 4
2DEC Power management, battery monitoring
2DED Power management, closed-circuit current monitoring
2A39 Valvetronic, adjustement range (I cleared the adapations value in INPA, not knowing what I was doing)

What could it be ? At this point, I don't really know what too look for. Thanks alot !

the valvetronic needs to be relearned.

I tried to do the relearn trick with the key (?) but it does not work. Also, the car did not start before I cleared the adaptation values

Do you have oil pressure?
Clear the codes and try to restart and see which ones come back up.
Car would still start with valvetronic being not calibrated, just would run like crap.

See if it will start and run for a few seconds on starter fluid.

Sorry for the delay guys ... Currently building a race car and got the e38 out ! Back on the e90 now.

I do have pressure on the switch (it becomes an open circuit when I crank).

It Will not start on starting fluid since I have no pulse going to the coils telling them to spark
