paint code...where to locate

I have a 2006 325i E90 chassis

Where can i find the location of the paint code.
I watched a youtube vid and it stated on the DS shock tower.
Is that true for this year/model ?

Its my sons car and i am surprising him with a lip spoiler and want to paint it to match...so i cannot go poking around under the hood too long without an explanation...he will catch on to my actions as he has expressed an interest in the spoiler.

Would like to know where to get the info so i can get in and out quickly.

yeah the door jamb has almost nothing..a tire label with air pressures and a plate with vin, GVW info, and date of manufacturer.
not like an american or even japanese car.

I know its hidden somewhere...prolly in plain sight just hafta know where to look

Vin number will have it, check the engine compartment that's where they used to put them, the paint code label

Call the dealer parts dept give them the last seven of the vin they will tell you the code. Yes it's in the vin along with all the options of the car and other info. All the main info of the car is in the vin. All vins no matter what brand of car or make has info in the vin.

Use mdecoder.com and plug in your VIN, the paint color and code will be shown. My car has three stickers on the underside of the hood, one of them is the paint code.
