Conundrums w/ C.A.R.B

Afternoon fellow E36'sers,

I am having a bit of a problem passing CARB. My question is simple:

Will a stock air intake system/airbox from an E36 M3 convertible fit in a E36 M3 coupe? Both S52's.

My tentative plan is to pass SMOG with a stock airbox and then throw on my old system. California emissions are ridiculous.

99% likely that will work. I'm not saying 100% because I'm too lazy to pull up realoem and verify parts interchange, but I'd be absolutely shocked if S52 convertible and S52 coupe and S52 sedan intake parts aren't identical.
