Does anyone know if the seat belt tensioners are interchangeable between the pre 97 seats and post 97 seats? I'm trying to swap in newer seats from a 97 with the pyrotechnic tensioners into my 94 with mechanical tensioners. Can the mechanical tensioners mount onto the 97 seats and the pyrotechnic ones onto the older seats?
Also has anyone wired the pyrotechnic tensioners into the older cars before?

I would think the mounts are the same. As for wiring the pyro tensioners I wouldn’t. I’d check real oem and see if the seat frames are the same. My money would bet they are.

Fairly certain that the early tensioner will interchange on to the later seats in an early chassis.
It would be nearly impossible to wire an early chassis with the SRS system for a later car.

No it is possible, did mine in the days.
Pryos will bolt on but no electrics to fire it.

Exactly....the pre 97 tensioners have only 1 x wire. The post 97 have two wires. You can just swapped tensioners to your new seats.

Yes. All tensioners fit all seats
