M52b20 with b28 head. Is it possible?

Hy guys!

I've a crazy idea... I already have an e36 with m52b20 engine, and I wondering what happens if i put an b28 head on to it. Is it possible?

'Cause my engine had an m50 head, I bought with this mod. I know the 28head is not so similar with the b20 one, but actually what is the all of differences between the two heads? What i have to mod to create this? Thanks a lot :):redspot

If the M50 head fit and worked, the the M52 should also, with at least one exception. The cylinder temperate sensors. M50 has two drilled and taped, M52 is drilled and taped for one.

Thanks the reply, it works very well, from the 2 temperate sensors has been used one, because my engine wire is m52.so, if I put an m52b28 head on my m52b20 engine, will it work fine? And I also can get more power? Will the crankshaft could be fine? I don't know, is the piston details similar between the 2 engine?

Sorry about my English knowledge, I from Hungary:)
