2008 BMW 328XI Can you Convert Manual Engine to fit Automatic Tranny

I have a 2008 328XI with an automatic transmission in which the engine needs replaced. I found a engine from another 328 that was connected to a manual transmission. Can I just swap out the flex plate to make the manual engine now fit an automatic transmission? When you look on car-part.com it states that the automatic and manual engines do not interchange. Is there a conversion?

The engines are almost identical. However, you have to swap the oil pan from the old engine to the new. I think that there's some other small part that needs to be exchanged (oil pump? engine mount? maybe the crankshaft's end pilot bearing?)
