So like the title says I'm missing the front aux fan I still have the clutch fan but missing the one in front of the radiator. The car hasn't overheated at all and I don't have ac. Is it needed?

If you don't have AC and there's no AC condenser sitting in front of the radiator, no you probably don't need it.

Thats what I thought but I've read it going both ways of needing it and not needing it. Thanks for the input.

you don't need it. Mine has been off for a while and also have AC and no overheating problems

Do you still have the clutch fan?

Just hope you don't get stuck in traffic on a very hot day. (or your fan clutch takes a dump). If it were me, I'd install a ducted two speed pusher fan and wire it to the sensor in the radiator. But that's just me, what do I know?

You could also buy an auxiliary fan from ECS tuning for $100 to back in there or if you don't know hold old the clutch fan is considering replacing that so you know it is fresh.

Thankfully it doesn't get very hot where I live and basically no traffic. I do plan on redoing the cooling system and changing to an electric 16" pusher fan come summer

One fan is fine if you have removed the AC condenser. Puller is better than pusher. If you use aftermarket, do it right. There are a lot of DIY hack jobs that do not work reliably. Done right, converting to an electric puller works fine.

It's not NEEDED, but used as a backup cooling fan in case the main fan isn't enough or breaks on you.
