I have a set of 4 M68 17x8.5 wheels that I have recently acquired. I would like to change and make these my summer wheels and make my 95 Motorsport 10 spokes my winter wheels.

Currently I have a few month old 235 40 17 Yoko ES100 tires, can these be mounted on the 17x8.5 wheels? Will the look silly? Anyone have pics of this size tires on 8.5" wheels?

Thanks! :)

Its fine. They might be stretched a little bit, but they will look and function fine.

is that the right size and do they fit on 7.5s?

I think I will give it a shot. Once I kill the yoko's I will go to a 245 40 17" tire. :)

Thanks

The 95 LTW came with 235/40's on 8.5" rear wheels.

Works fine, I've done it. Doesn't stretch them much at all.

Thanks JV, its time for a little change. Especially since I just bent one of my freshly straightened 10 spokes...

I run 245/40/17 ES100s on the 17 x 8.5 lightweight rim in the rear. I think that's the stock tire size. 235s wouldn't be a stretch.

Fronts on the 7.5" rim are 225/45/17.

i have 235 40zr17 in front with 17x8.5 and 255 40zr17 in the rear with 17x9. the front looks fine but the rear is a bit big.
