What to look for when buying used?

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum so I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place (please point me in the right direction if so). I am looking to get a used 335i (2012 or newer) and I was wondering if there were any things I should watch out for. I don't know a whole lot about these cars yet, so I was looking to find out more about any common mechanical problems or packages to keep in mind. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Hello and welcome to the forum! From what I've read, the F3x platforms have had issues with the injectors and starting issues (not sure if the 2 are related). The post important thing you can do when looking at a specific car is to get a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) done by an independent BMW mechanic - this will give you pretty much all the info you'll need in deciding whether to pursue or not. Thanks for the info! I've heard something about a problem with the injectors being covered under warranty/recall before, is that still in effect or was it only older models?

I haven't heard about this recall - if your car was effected by it then the dealer will replace it free of charge. You can look up the car's vin # to see if it was included in the recall.

This is good timing - I'm an old E36 M3 guy, but have a friend at work asking me about a nearly new 2015 320. I've read about fuel pump and injector issues with the 335s, but I literally know nothing about the 4 cylinder cars.

Can anyone offer anything to look out for?
