Will E36 flag type door mirrors bolt up/plug & play to E34?

The flag type mirrors on E36 look a lot like the flag type mirrors on late version (i.e., 1995) E34 540i cars, as well as E38 cars.

Will the E36 door mirrors bolt up and properly fit an E34?

Does not look like, first of all they have different part numbers. Compare the brackets, the connector plug.
I remember that some E32 owners modified their E32 to the E34 style.
E34 mirrors changed 09/1992 to a different design. Back in 2006 I posted how to modify the M5 mirrors, pics from a Japanese forum here http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/156702/

So in any case no plug and play, probably needs adapter modifications, plug connector, and in case your E34 has seat and memory module, then even more complicated, the innards of SMM mirrors are completely different from normal electric,heated version
