No it is not repairable. Part number is 12 14 1 738 667.

Validate that part number by using your VIN (last 7 characters) within www.realoem.com.

You can try poly filling them like I did.

Or you can run without them like I do. No issues. Make sure you use good fuel though.

Replace them, they aren't very expensive... from the photo it looks like a valley pan from M6x? I just got a 4 of those, around $44 for oem Bosch.

Funny I too run without knock sensors while mine is still N/A. The tune still references the knock tables and takes out some timing on load transients. I also suspect that the knock timing tables are used during automatic transmission "Timing intervention" or on other tuning platforms it's called Torque Management. Zero'ing out the knock max timing retard table has opened a bit more street fun.

Do you suppose I may be down on power without them? Doesn't seem like it.

Tough to say, theoretically the dme should only know they are hooked up once the piezo pickups translate a frequency within a specified band....perhaps we could simulate a load on those circuits and see if the vehicle responds differently?
When I deleted my IAC I needed to simulate IAC load with LED's in order for the idle control tables to come back online. It idled just fine, but the idle control tables weren't responding. Added LED's and like magic I could watch the cell hit tracing in the idle maps as it was using the values in those tables again.

i found obd2 knock sensors in my garage

looks like new, can i just cut these wires and "swap" connectors from my faulty knock sensors? my DME is Bosch 0 261 200 413 red label

Each engine has a different resonate frequency. Many variables effect this but block stiffness is probably most influential.
Essentially no you can't use different knock sensors from another car. Maybe if it's a m52 into an M50. They might be close enough... Just buy knew sensors

They were about $55 new, each, last I checked. No wonder OP wants to repair them.
There were two styles: two-wire and three-wire. I don't remember the difference but IIRC it has everything to do with the DME version and nothing to do with the hardware.

They were 3 pin on earlier cars and then switched to two pin, so match them to the car / engine harness .
As low as $88 for the pair on eBay for factory Bosch .

All of these wound wire coil knock sensors transmit all frequencies. They are essentially just guitar pickups, the computer tuning is programmed to ignore all frequencies but a specified band/range that is recognized by engineers as knock. Like a High pass filter & low pass filter working together.
