I've got a 2004 330i/performance package, which had Bridgestone 255/35ZR18 90Y rear tires from the factory. I had a right rear flat, and the dealership replaced it with a Bridgestone 255/35R18 (no Z) 90W Runflat. There is an obvious tread pattern difference, but is this mismatch something I should worry about? bholcomb

I'm surprised they didnt match the tires, its not like its difficult to order a tire. I wouldn't let them put a different tire on there, especially one with a noticably different tread pattern. And they put a run-flat on, when the rest of the car is not on run-flats? that doesn't sound right.
I would also like to know if it is a big deal. My current tires are discontinued and one of my rears is flat, and one is brand new.

Yes it can be a big deal in an emergency situation. You would not go out to run with 2 different shoes on. They need to match the tires.
