MAF/VAF Issue

My car is a 2007 Mini Cooper S and it is misfiring the OBD says there is a problem with the MAF. Where is this sensor located and can this be just cleaned or does it have to be replaced? Thnx to anyone who can help!

The mass air flow sensor is installed between the air filter housing and the intake manifold, to monitor air flow into the engine intake

You can make an attempt at cleaning the MAF instead of replacing it first.Use CRC MAF Spray Cleaner, do NOT attempt to physically TOUCH the film to clean it!Let dry before powering-up MAF or starting the vehicle.
