Does anybody know how these two moldings are fastened?

I'm referring to the two small moldings on the 1/4 panel. I need to sandblast and blend the 1/4 panel, so they need to come off.

My small rear one is loose, so I went and gently prised it out a little to have a look. There are plastic buttons that go through the body, mine also has some double sided tape, but I dont think that is original.
