Now that I've gotten the half dozen or so minor things corrected on my '96 740 IL, thanks in great part to many of the members on the forum who replied back with their experiences/websites/ links, etc., I was thinking of upgrading to a 750 IL. When I came across my current 740 IL, I couldn't pass it up, since it was a 1 owner car with 111,000 miles, and is in very good condition. Paid $2,800, which may have been a little high, but I have bought many used cars along the way, and found out that paying a little more up front usually pays off in spades down the road. If anyone has a line or comes across a 1996 - 2001 750 IL, shoot me a quick response or PM. I'm not in a hurry, and will wait for the correct car to come along, same way I came across my current 740. I've been scouting out E-bay, Autotrader, Cars.com, etc., for the past couple of weeks, and only came across 1 potential candidate so far, however I have not received a response back from the seller yet. Not sure if this in a older ad or not. I'm happy with my current 740, but am looking forward to possibly owning a 750 if the right opportunity comes along. Appreciate any leads you may have.

Regards, Chris.

That's a clean car for the price, except the grey interior.

Seems to be from the few pics that are listed, although the description is saying a beige interior. I currently have a grey interior, and am not a big fan of it. Again, not sure how old this ad is, as I have tried making contact via e-mail and phone with no response as of yet.

Grey or beige I don't know what's worst, you have a good idea when comes to shopping for these car. Pay a little more for better condition one to start with. Take your time to get what you like, you gonna live with it for a long time.

So many part outs, interior can be modified anytime.

yeah, but the effort and labor to swap an interior in one of these cars and the cost of a full MINT intact black leather interior ? not cheap. why bother when you can just look a little harder for one with a black interior or maybe highline or what ever...

I can concur that a full interior swap including headliner and carpet is more work than you can imagine! I have pulled full interiors on several cars and the 750 is a beast of a job. Not to mention you will need to order about $100 worth of new clips and stuff to get it right. All plastic will be broken everywhere.

Ugly, but pretty clean and a good price to boot. Easy to have a color-change wrap tossed on top.
