Today marks my third year of ownership of my 1987 635csi. The Great White's been one of the best parts about my life as a young enthusiast, and has taught me a ton of lessons.

To celebrate, I wrote a "love letter" of sorts to the car, which you can read here on Petrolicious:

Here are some of the most recent photos I took of the Shark (from the weekend). Hope you enjoy the read and photos!

Nicely done! Your narrative flow and attention to detail are superb; IMHO that article gives readers a feel for your car's character. Post more details about the mods if you're inclined. The mismatched bumpers & air suspension are sure to have a story, right? Resto-mods are tricky to get right, yours seems nicely done.

Hey Dave!

I appreciate the kind words.
The car is relatively stock. It has a Euro front end and custom air ride suspension, which were installed by the previous owner. The air ride consists of Air Lift universal struts, modified to fit the vehicle, with a 5 gallon tank and Viair compressor and manual pressure-based management. I have 18x8/9 staggered BBS Style 5's from an E31 or E38 mounted to Toyo Extenzas. I also have a euro rear end that I have been wanting to retrofit, but the bodywork needs and my budget won't allow for it for a bit of time. At this point, I'm more focusing on neglected maintenance - I need to address a few mechanical and aesthetic issues before I can return to modifying the vehicle. It's a work in progress, as most vehicles are - which is why it carries the "Never Done" insignia on the windshield!
