I am looking at a 2011 328xi automatic. It has about 66,000 miles 105,000 km). The car report indicates no accidents (the province it has been registered in records accidents and insurance claims at least to 2011). It has the Executive package from that year.
i love the lines of an E90 and prefer a V6. The grip is so sweet when you aren't used to driving a BMW.
the dealer is a used car dealer, not a BMW dealer, and probably bought it at auction.
im wondering how much I will be spending on repairs and how reliable the car would be.
i do two types of driving, very urban short distance driving and highway long distance - no on and off the break suburban commuting.
Besides having my mechanic have a thorough review of the car any other advice you guys can give me?

Oops. Sorry. I wanted an inline 6 over the 4. I thought the engine sounded deliciously smooth despite its age.

I bought a 2010 328i xdrive wagon at 65K two years agon. I had to replace a rear taillight assembly @$250 in the beginning. Nothing else until I got to 95K and then I was developing a rough idle or skip at idle and misfires. I replaced all plugs, coils and injectors (rebuilt and matched) at a cost of around $350 for everything. This cured it although many with e90s report a rough idle. I also had to replace tires so I before I did I replaced all shocks and had an alignment. Nothing out of the ordinary course of maintenance. Costs are very reasonable if you do your own work. Love the car on the highway, it is a real cruiser.
PS: have someone with the BMW diagnostic software read the code history.
