Have the headlights interior wiring flaking and it shorted out the FRM after diagnosing myself. Scanner showed fault code on the FRM passenger side headlight.
I have read articles on here where people code or clear the circuit short fault. Took it to a shop already and when he hooked it up to scan the light came on which proved its not a wiring issue but definitely the FRM. If there is someone who can code or has the Tools32 Edibas etc in Tampa, FL ? Dealer likely won't touch my car due to the downpipe i installed that is aftermarket. Will likely have to buy another FRM then code that.. one without the short circuit disabling that headlight power. I have also bought a brand new headlight assembly OEM on that side. Any ideas or feedback would help thanks guys

What diagnostic utility do you have? I would first attempt to clear the short circuit counter with toolset32 to see if the existing module can be salvaged. If the module needs to be replaced, I would buy used and code it. I can give you the software to code or reset if you want. I could also help you with TeamViewer if needed.

BTW, most dealers are ok with aftermarket parts, they're still happy to take your money.

I don't think you can reset a 2008 FRM. Later model FRMs I believe can be reset. Since you are planning to replace the FRM use a newer once like an FRM2 which I believe has some re-settable parameters. Go to the sub forum and post there too as there are coders in the Tampa area as well as indy shops that are very capable.
I have used these guys a few times years back and they were first rate.
