Transmission Fluid Change Questions

Hi guys,

I own a 2006 330xi. Have owned it for about 6 months. I bought it with 100,000 miles and the transmission jerks a little bit, although not all the time from a dead stop. Is this normal in the e90? I was thinking of just replacing the transmission fluid to see if anything changes.

My questions:
1) what type of oil do I get
2) how much?
3) Is there a DIY anyone could post for me?

GM or ZF transmissions require different fluids and procedures. Tranny filters for GM and pans (with integral filter) for ZF are available.

follow refill procedures carefully. on ZF, there is a valve or solenoid that needs checking...cant remember the name of it offhand.....

ZF tranny fluid: Pentosin or ZF fluid
