This is my third time having squeaking come from my engine since I bought the car back in June 2016. I replaced the belt/tensioner/idler back in July 2016. Then in September 2016 (2 months later) I replaced the idler pulley since the bearing seemed to have gone bad, which it did and solved the issue. Now March 2017, I replaced the tensioner and idler yet again hoping that the noise was yet again coming from the same spot, but no luck. Not too sure at this point what could be causing the noise. It doesn't seem to be a blown bearing as the noise is not consistently squealing as it was on the other two cases. Only more when the rpm start to get higher than 2k. Where should I narrow my search down to? Thanks ahead of time.

The squeaking could be coming from another pulley or the drive belt itself. Since you just replaced the belt, I'd look at other pulleys. Power steering pump, alternator, A/C compressor. Does it do it when the A/C is off?

Yes it does it with the AC off. I will pull the belt out tomorrow and check the other pulleys as well. Will update as to what the situation is then!

If it squeaks when the A/C is off, my guess is the compressor clutch.

its not a whistling is it?....check to see that you can easily get your oil fill cap loose/open when the car is running.....

I didn't get a chance to check the other pulleys yesterday since it rained pretty hard after work, I don't believe that the whistling noise was a thing, it sounds like the fan belt/bad pulley since my past experience with these going bad have sounded the same. I have noticed that after driving for maybe 5 mins the noise is almost gone when driving. Cold start give an extremely loud squeal while after a few mins goes to a low squeal.

UPDATE: Fixed the issue, turns out the alternator pulley was slipping on cold starts. I took a wire brush to the pulley to roughen it up a bit and that did the trick. No more squeaks as of this morning!

tlinker, did you check the bearings on the alternator to make sure that they aren't going bad. An alternator isn't supposed to be so hard to turn that the belt squeaks. What you did to give the belt a better grip may have worked to quiet it down, but may not be the root of the problem.
