So I tried installing my exhaust today. Tried lol. All bolts were screwed and mismatched. I broke one of the studs from the bottom of the header so I'll need to figure out what to do with that. I had to remove the trans mount bar to get the old pipes out but then couldnt get the new ones onto the header. What a nightmare this was. The car is parked at work with everything off up to the header. Has anyone installed the active autowerke replica on an earlier model? I'm half tempted to stop at the exhaust shop and have them fix that header stud and install the exhaust with new hardware. Any advice is greatly appreciated..
The car idled better with no o2 sensor btw!!

When I bought my e36, it had the AA track pipe and exhaust replica, the fitment was crap. The previous owner had to open up the exhaust cutout in the rear diffuser to open up space to clear the exhaust tips.

Do you think a exhaust shop could do some customization to avoid this^^ I have heard about the muffler fitment issues as well but I have even gotten the track pipe on there.

They could probably readjust the fitment for you, but whether its worth the effort is up to you. I'm not sure how much that would all cost. I went back to the factory catalytic convertor for emissions testing soon after I bought the car.

So after hours of scrolling I have found my answer. The track pipe replica will not fit an automatic. So now my options are to,
A:Cut flanges off header and custom weld straight pipes to the mid pipe with resonator and catback replicas.
B:See if they can bend the track pipe and repair header stud
C:Repair the stud and have them build a pipe with flanges.
I'm leaning towards the first one because I believe it will be cheapest and I still have a bunch to do before autocross.
Anyone else have any ideas or opinions?
I have a track pipe replica for sale also..
